Obituary

Lloyd E. Teeter, born October 20, 1943, passed away peacefully at home on October 22, 2026, in Prescott Valley, Arizona, just two days after his 83rd birthday after a lengthy battle with cancer and other medical issues. Lloyd enjoyed growing up in New Mexico, right off Route 66, which contributed to Lloyd’s love for cars of all makes, but especially the hot rod. This love translated into ownership and enjoyment of many cars over his lifetime. The most important thing in his life though was his relationship with Jesus Christ. This love and devotion led to decades of ministry in the Church of the Nazarene as he shared God’s love to people of all ages. “Pastor T,” as many called him, was especially sensitive to children’s ministry in which he dedicated himself to throughout most of his ministry. But whether serving as a children’s pastor, an administrative pastor, or helping somewhere else, Pastor T wanted others to know and follow Jesus. Lloyd was a devoted husband to Rachel, a loving father to Troy (Kim), Kim (David) and Travis, and a proud grandfather of 6 and great-grandfather of 6. He loved his family dearly and tried to exhibit that love in all he did, especially as he passed along his faith and sought to encourage those he loved to keep Christ at the center of their lives. Two phrases especially captured the heart of Lloyd’s life: “Keep on keeping on” and “Keep the Main Thing the main thing.” Which were always reminders for those that he encountered to love God with all their heart and loving others as himself. Lloyd leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, love, and encouragement. He will be remembered by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched through his ministry and his life.
