Maria De Jesus S. Jauregui

Born in Mexticacán, Jalisco on October 15th, 1938. Maria entered eternal life on February 26th, 2026 at her home in Bagdad, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband Elias Jauregui of 60 years, her parents Juan and Hipolita Sandoval, her brothers Ynes and Jose Sandoval, her daughter Martha Sandoval Jauregui, her grandson Robert Jauregui, and her great grandson Porter Austin. She leaves behind her sons Lupe, Fernando, Rigoberto, Javier, Eduardo, Juanito, and her daughter Anjelica. She also leaves behind 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.

Maria was a loving and devoted mother to her seven children and the heart of her family. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and open doors no matter who you were; you never left her table hungry. She expressed her love through cooking, especially her homemade meals and fresh tortillas, which brought family and friends together time and time again.

Maria found her greatest joy in time spent with her family, especially during gatherings at the family land “Rancho Palo Seco”. Those moments filled with laughter, food, and stories were among the memories that will be treasured for generations. She found joy in the simple beauty of life, tending to her rose bushes and cactus plants, raising canaries, and sitting peacefully on her back porch watching the wild birds.

She had a deep love for her heritage and enjoyed listening to the music of Javier Solís, reading Mexican newspapers, and making cherished trips to Mexticacán for family vacations where she enjoyed reconnecting with loved ones and her roots. She had a gift for creating beauty in everyday life, whether through sewing, her garden, or the meals she lovingly prepared.

Family and friends were always welcome in her home, where laughter, stories, and good food were always shared. Maria’s kindness, generosity, and welcoming nature touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

A devout Catholic, Maria’s faith was a guiding force throughout her life. She seldom missed Mass at Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Bagdad, Arizona.

Maria will be remembered for her loving heart, strong faith, and the beautiful way she cared for everyone around her. Her legacy lives on in her children, family, and all those who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
