Paul Stephen “Steve” Sailor was born on April 2, 1945. He was raised in Slater, Missouri by his loving parents, Paul and Delza Sailor. He worked with his father at the family lumberyard, graduated from Slater High School in 1963, and went on to attend the University of Missouri in Columbia. After college, he served in the United States Army.
Steve married Macrena Mulich, and together they raised two children, Paul and Morgan. He enjoyed traveling the world, spending time with the people close to him, and providing a lap for the many dogs in his life. Steve’s proudest accomplishment in life was being Papa to his two wonderful granddaughters, Delza and Mikayla.
Steve spent his career with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. He and Macrena moved from Kansas City to Arizona in 2000 and retired in Prescott. He was a devout Catholic and spent many years volunteering with the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Delza Sailor.
He is survived by his wife, Macrena; his children, Paul Sailor (father of Mikayla) and Morgan Sailor (mother of Delza); his aunt Patricia DiSanti; and many cousins and dear friends.
He will be remembered as a kind, humble, devoted person who cared deeply for his family and friends.
A rosary for Steve will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, December 12 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fleury Street in Prescott, followed by the funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. A private celebration of life will follow.
