Renelda Anne Gennrich, born March 16,1941 in Melrose, Minnesota to Arthur Ferdinand and Rose Wilhelmina (Tabatt) Gennrich.

Baptized March 23, 1941, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Melrose Minnesota, confirmed May 30, 1954 at St. John’s Lutheran Church Grey Eagle, Minnesota.

Family moved from St. Rosa, Minnesota to Stewart, Minnesota in 1955. Renelda graduated from Stewart High School, Stewart, Minnesota on May 28, 1958, then from Concordia Junior College, St. Paul, Minnesota with an associate in arts degree on June 3, 1960. She proceeded to earn her Bachelor of Science in Education from Concordia Teacher’s College in Seward, Nebraska on June 2, 1962.

From 1962 to 1964 Renelda taught in Lutheran Schools in Minnesota and Wisconsin. She married Leonard Steffen at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, rural Gibbon, Minnesota on August 15, 1964. Leonard went home to heaven June 1, 1998.

Renelda taught in country schools in South Dakota 1964-1968 and at a Hutterite Colony School in South Dakota 1969-1973.

Leonard and Renelda moved from White Lake, South Dakota to Chino Valley, Arizona in June, 1973. Leonard went to work at Cooper’s Feed Store, Chino Valley which six years later became Olsen’s Feed, working there for 20 years.

Renelda Attended Yavapai College taking Math and Science classes. She became a substitute teacher in Chino Valley School District and taught part time at First Lutheran School in Prescott from 1976 to 1979.

Leonard and Renelda became foster parents for three years and Renelda became librarian at Prescott Christian School, Prescott, Arizona and volunteered at Chino Valley Library. She also tutored Math for 12 years.

Renelda volunteered in Prescott School District and was a member of Prescott Frontier Days. She married Jack Lord on April 28th, 2002. Jack went home to heaven on May 21, 2014

Renelda was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Prescott from June, 1973 to December, 1985 and a member of the Hope Lutheran Church, Chino Valley from December 1985 until her passing on April 26, 2025. She also spent many years serving as a Sunday School Teacher.
