Robert Wurl died January 10, 2004 at YRMC in Prescott, Arizona He was born September 5, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois the son of John E. and Marguerite J. (Jensen) Wurl. Bob was 82 years old. Bob moved to Prescott 20 years ago following his retirement as a locksmith from the University of Cal. At Santa Cruz. . He was extremely proud of his military service in the U.S. Army, 5th Disivion during World War II. He enjoyed traveling, wood working and meeting people. Bob was widowed twice; once when his beloved Dorothy and the mother of his daughters died. He was again blessed with his marriage to Alice, who died in 1993. Bob became an active member of the New Beginnings Bereavement Group often couseling men when they became widowed and using his exceptional care giving skills. He lovingly cared for Alice?s mother, Clara for serveral year. Bob is surved by his daughters Roberta (Joe) Demellopine of Modesto, CA and Dorothy Shelton of Chicopee, MA; brother Ronald of Tempe, AZ and 4 grandchildren and one great grand child. A vistation and gatherng of friends will be from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2005 at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home at the corner of Cortez and Carleton in Prescott, with a Celebration of Bob?s life at 11:00 a.m. Friday January 14, 2005 at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin The family suggest memorials in his name to YRMC Hospice, Restricted Fund, P.O.
