Ronald "Ron" James Jahraus, 83, died peacefully Sept. 9, 2026, at home while on hospice, from complications of Parkinson's Disease.

He was born July 4, 1943, in Antelope, ND, to Ruben and Emma Jahraus. He was the 12th child of 13--10 boys and 3 girls.

Sept.1, 1962, he married LaRue Hoffman. Children Perry born in 1963 and Laurie born in 1965 followed. Ron and LaRue lived in North Dakota until 1990 when they moved to Phoenix, AZ. LaRue died June 29, 1996, after brief battle with cancer.

October 8. 1999, Ron married Joann Geffre. They lived in Chandler, AZ until 2013, when they moved to Prescott Valley.

Ron's hobbies included woodworking, travelling, and fishing.

Ron converted to the Catholic faith in 2016, and became an active member of St. Germaine Catholic Church. He volunteered at the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry and joined the Knights of Columbus.

He is survived by his wife, Joann, daughter, Laurie (Joe) Dorn, step-son, Keith (Adrianne) Geffre, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 9 brothers, 1 sister, and his son Perry.
