Sandy Timmons,79, of Prescott, AZ passed away Tuesday July 4, 2023. She was born in Lafayette IN to Floyd and Doris Timmons. She was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School. She graduated from the Marion County General Hospital Diploma Registered Nurse program, Indiana University School of Nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing program, and Indiana Wesleyan University Master of Management Program. Sandy worked in the nursing field for over 40 years providing care, education, and supervision to many. Sandy became "Nanny Sandy" for her extended AZ family Amanda and Lucas.
Sandy met her life partner of 33.5 years, and they embarked on many fun filled adventures together over the years including both camping and RV trips. Also in retirement, she enjoyed making jewelry and was a member of the Arizona High Desert Bead Society.
She is survived by Kris Wang, her life partner; her brother Russell Timmons, her sister, Ginger Maloney, her "oldest and dearest" Ruth Ann Ellison, and her AZ family Marc, Terry, Amanda, Lucas, Audrey, Cindy, and Wayne.
She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Additionally, she is survived by Faith, her beloved service dog.
She is preceded in death by her brothers Larry and David, her parents, and sister-in-law Julie Timmons wife of Russell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Maggie's Hospice or the American Heart Association.
Ruffner Wakelin funeral home in Prescott AZ and Hippensteel funeral home in Lafayette IN are entrusted with her care.
