Thomas Dean Hagedorn

Thomas Dean Hagedorn was born on March 25, 1941, in West Point, Nebraska, to William and Clara (Nebuda) Hagedorn. From an early age, he was active in the Boy Scouts, an experience that helped shape his lifelong values of dedication, community, and quiet service to others.

In 1963, Tom made his home in Arizona, where he built a life rich in friendship, music, and love. From 1964 to 1985, he was a proud member of the Orpheus Chorus, sharing his love of music and camaraderie with those around him.

On December 29, 1973, Tom married Juanita Brown, the love of his life. Their marriage was one of deep devotion, lasting until Juanita’s passing on October 10, 2018. Together, they created a life filled with warmth, laughter, and compassion.

Tom dedicated 42 years of his career to Motorola, where his steady work ethic and commitment left a lasting impression. In retirement, he and Juanita built their dream home in Camp Verde, Arizona. There, they found great joy in the simple pleasures of life—time spent with dear friends and family, and especially caring for their many rescued dogs, who brought them endless happiness.

A man of faith, Tom was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church - Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, where he found strength, fellowship, and purpose.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, William and Clara Hagedorn; his sister, Jean Humlicek; and his beloved wife, Juanita Hagedorn.

He is lovingly remembered by his cousins Keith Nebuda, Mary Beth Olson, Gina Maria Kalous, and Gerald Nebuda, as well as a cherished brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and their families. He will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle spirit, and the quiet, steady love he gave to those around him.
