Obituary

Vandalyah (Van) Rhodes was taken home by her Lord on September 20, 2026. She was born on April 2, 1929, to Noah Orval and Ruby (Upchurch) Ford in Hazel, Oklahoma.

Van grew up on a farm in the southeastern part of Arkansas. She went to nursing school in Little Rock, AR. She moved to Prescott, AZ, in 1955. She met her husband, Paul, while working in the VA hospital in Prescott. Paul was a career military man, so the family moved often. Upon retiring from the Air Force, they lived in Phoenix for 22 years. After Paul retired a second time, they moved to Prescott Valley in 1988. She has attended Prescott Valley Assembly of God/Fountain of Life Community Church A/G since August 1, 1988.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; two grandsons; one granddaughter; a great-grandson; her parents; daughter Cindy; son Michael; son Scott; and son Kevin.

She is survived by sons Fred and Gary; 13 grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.
