Verna Evelyn Willis

Verna Evelyn Willis, 90, passed away on February 20, 2009 in Prescott, Arizona. She was born in Codyville, Maine; one of thirteen children. Her parents were LaForest and Flora Cochran. Verna Willis is survived by her son, Lawrence Preston of Prescott Valley; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Larry Miller of Prescott and four grandchildren; Ken Miller of Porltand, Oregon, Rebecca Poteet of Lindale, Texas, Mark Miller of Gilbert, Arizona and Pat Kleinschmidt of Manchester, Michigan and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Lawrence Preston Jr. of Chino Valley, AZ and by three sisters and two brothers. She was a member of the Mount Vernon Church of Christ in Prescott. In earlier years she worked as director of a retirement home. Until her death she remained devoted to her loving family of siblings, all living in Maine.  There will be a family graveside service in Chino Valley at a later date.
