Virginia Lee Schilliger, a long time resident of Yuma, Arizona , died August 6, 2006 at the Arizona Pioneer Home in Prescott, Arizona. She was born October 9, 1925 in Spiro, Oklahoma; the daughter of Marion E. and Effie Mae (David) Altstatt. Virgina was 80 years old. Virginia moved to Yuma as a young girl 75 years ago. She was an active member of the Assembly of God Church, until her health prevented her from going to church. She was a member of the Diabetes Association and volunteered with Catholic Social Services. She was proudest of her children and family. Virginia is survived by her sons: Glenn (Elizabeth) Goode, David (Pam) Goode, Bruce (Bonnie) Schilliger; daughter Karen (Jack) Harmon and daughter-in-law Patsy Goode, brother Thomas F. Altstatt and sister, Lois Christman. Virginia is also survived by grandsons David Jr., Gregory and Daniel and great grandchildren; David III, Jeff, Amanda, Gabriel and Lance. She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar ?Doc? Schilliger and son Daniel Goode.
