William Irving Lonigan

Lt. Col. William I Lonigan, WW II US Army Air Corp, died in Prescott, AZ on June 13, 2016 after a brief illness. He and his wife Genevieve enjoyed Dewey for their retirement years and the 1st Southern Baptist Church of Prescott Valley. He is survived by 4 children, William Lonigan of Sacramento, CA, Dr Robert Lonigan of Salem, OR, Susan Burns of Bainbridge Is, WA, and Sally Bennett of Eugene, OR, by 14 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchildren and many dear friends. He flew 162 air missions during WW II in the South Pacific and loved sharing his stories. A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, July 22, 2016, 2:30 PM at the Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, Oregon.
