A huge shout out to the staff at Ruffner-Wakelin. Initially my sister met with Anita to pre-plan and address our father’s final wishes and resting spot. Upon his death, the suggestions and advice we received during the pre-planning stage allowed us time to grieve. Additionally we were offered business names and phone numbers helpful in the planning of his celebration of life. The staff’s support and kindness made for a positive experience at an otherwise dark time.

My mother passed away suddenly and I was alone to handle arrangements. Anita made everything simple and her words and care were a blessing. Everyone at Ruffner-Wakelin was caring, helpful and kind. I made the right choice in selecting them.

Meghan and John were so very kind and competent handling arrangements for my husbands cremation and burial service at National Cemetery in Prescott. The care and military service were brief, but memorable. My sincere appreciation for their attention to our needs.

We recently lost our father expectantly. I wasn't sure where to get assistance with making the final arrangements and I asked several case managers and hospice workers for there recommendations. They all recommended Ruffner-Wakelin and I was glad that I took there recommendation. After our meeting I knew I had made the right choice, they were very compassionate and professional, assisting me in making the final arrangements. Their staff was continually following up with the arrangements and kept me informed along the way. The final viewing was very peaceful and tranquil. Since my dad was VET, they made all the arrangements for the final internment at the national cemetery. They took a huge load off my shoulders and I appreciated all they did for us. Thank You.

Thank you Ruffner-Wakelin (especially Anita) for your compassion and empathy during such a difficult time. Our son died unexpectedly in Prescott and we live in Michigan so we had no idea what funeral home to use. From the very 1st phone call Anita was kind, caring, and made us feel comfortable our son would be treated with respect. She walked us through every step with patience and understanding.

My mother passed away at our home in the early morning hours of July. A member of the Ruffner staff responded quickly to the call from hospice and showed compassion and dignity toward my mom and our family as they started the service process. We were so grateful for the professional, compassionate attention we received. In the time of Covid and new normals; they made every attempt to make her passing less painful and eliminate as much stress as possible from the process. The communication at every point was clear and efficient.

My thanks and appreciation to the staff at Ruffner-Wakelin for their care and professionalism. My dad passed away in Prescott at the height of the coronavirus. I live in Missouri and was unable to travel due to my husband being high risk. My dad's cremation, transport arrangements to Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, California, and all the paperwork was handled in an efficient and timely manner by the thoughtful staff during a most difficult time for all.

I cannot say enough good things about Ruffner-Wakelin. My father passed away unexpectedly. We were in shock and grieving. What made it even harder was that my dad lived in Arizona and My sister, brother and I are in California. I wanted to find a place that would take good care of my father and the family as we grieved. I knew when I spoke with Heather that this was the place. She was so kind and caring, and continued to be that way throughout. She made this very sad, difficult time in our lives a little easier. I will be forever grateful for the care she and the staff at Ruffner-Wakelin showed us.

This is by far the finest Staff in a funeral home setting I have ever dealt with. Following my wifes passing, Todd and his staff was with me every step of the way. They were very affordable and accommodating. Thanks Todd and Ruffner-Wakelin for making this time easier for me and my family.

I am a Flagstaff transplant living in Amarillo, Texas, so I'm not a member of your community, but the cities of Prescott and Prescott Valley deserve my appreciation. I was last in Prescott 40 years ago when my beloved Grandfather died at the V.A. Hospital. My, what a change!! The sleepy little town is now a busy little city. I recently made three trips to Prescott. Sadly the hospitalization and death of my Father brought me back. He served two tours in WWII and spent the last seven months of his life at the Whipple V.A. I expected "city standards" but I got so much more! I spent three days at Yavapai Regional Hospital. His death was visible on the horizon. He was being difficult. The doctor and nurses were compassionate and professional. The V.A. staff was wonderful to my Father. He called Whipple "Home". My last trip to Prescott I left on a Saturday. He died Tuesday. One nurse held his hand and a CNA was holding his other hand. He wasn't alone. I had no ideas on choosing a mortuary. I based my decision solely on a phone call. Ruffner-Wakelin in Prescott was chosen strictly on the "feeling" I got from the phone call. This was obviously a very hard, emotional time. They performed their duties far above and beyond anything I expected. They were sensitive to the families needs, the distance involved in handling all a death entails. They thought of things I didn't and then handled those things too! They were respectful and kind. Quality Inn on Sheldon was helpful too. Twice they let us check in several hours early so we had a place to operate from. I know no other way to say thank you to so many people that made such a difference. Good things still happen, even at the worst times. Kudos to Prescott and Prescott Valley, small cities with a big heart. With heartfelt gratitude, thank you. The Staff at Ruffner-Wakelin was so genuine and caring during the loss of my Mother. From the point they came personally to the home until the burial they were there for us. Todd and his staff are truly professionals. Having used other Funeral Homes in the area previously, I would not hesitate to recommend Ruffner-Wakelin and their services over the others.
